    Sure, “saved” has other meanings in the Bible, but none more important than that of the salvation of our souls by God, the Father, through his Son, Jesus. The previous book, What Does It Mean To Be Born Again?, ended with Sproul explaining how we should be confident in our faith - secure in the knowledge that once /5. If you've been born again, you have come to the Lord some time in your life, and you've said, "Lord, I'm a sinner, I know you're the Savior.

I believe you're the Son of God, and I want you to be my Savior. Please come and forgive me of my sin". You've made a confession of faith. The book of Romans says if we confess with our mouth and believe.

The book has some good points, and R.C. Sproul has some other wonderful material, but this book made me realize that he is a Calvinist and I don't agree with that interpretation of Scripture regarding the "the elect" especially when considering the context of Romans 9 and plain common sense about the consistent character of God/5().
